Bird Schneider
Bird Schneider is an Illustrator working and surviving in Portland OR. He does mostly traditional work with some digital and is heavily influenced by literature, fantasy, and sci fi. His art ranges from figurative to expressionistic often featuring lots of texture, bold linework, and attention to detail. His subject matter is often fantastical, sometimes wandering into the dark and unsettling.
A student at Pacific Northwest College of Art, Bird Schneider works mostly with narrative projects anywhere from full illustrations to character designing and concepting along with more abstracted works. Most of his work is geared towards publishing, including middle reader books and picture books. His work is also applied to merchandise, fan art, and prints. You can also find him deep in the forest on moonlight nights shaking a skull full of acorns and screaming into the sky.
